We are excited to announce that the City and NE Oxon AMHT are looking for an experienced Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist, on a full‑time basis, who is ready to take a leading role in transforming the lives of people with mental health conditions. City and NE Oxon AMHT are a friendly and dynamic integrated mental health team supporting adults with a wide range of mental health conditions. We are looking for experienced clinicians who can make a positive difference to this client group. Our weekly MDT meetings bring energetic and supportive colleagues together to understand the issues and tackle the challenges faced by people living with severe and enduring mental illness. Responsibilities
Act as an advanced autonomous practitioner, demonstrating a high level of practice/knowledge whilst participating in direct evidence‑based patient care working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team providing professional and clinical support to patients. Undertake autonomous health assessments; diagnose, treat, and discharge patients within own competence, providing expert care and treatment within agreed protocols and clinical guidelines. Function in a variety of role dimensions: health care provider, educator, researcher, clinical advocate and implementer of clinical governance. Be a senior clinician within the team. The role will predominantly be clinical, but also include some operational leadership and supervision of a small team of junior staff.
You will clinically lead a small team consisting of newly qualified Nurses, Nurse Associates and Support Workers to provide care and interventions to a complex caseload of patients. This will be as part of a wider team working alongside our primary care networks, supported by both psychiatric and psychological therapy clinicians. The service is open Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00 excluding bank holidays.
