The company has a decentralized structure with a significant presence in Europe, including over 50 works councils. We are building a global Labor & Employee Relations (LER) function, including a Center of Excellence (LER COE) to support our operating companies.
The Senior Labor and Employee Relations Specialist will drive and support labor and employee relations strategies in Europe. This role reports to the Senior Counsel, International Labor & Employment, and involves:
- Handling complex ER matters, workplace investigations, leave issues, and employment terminations.
- Supporting HR Business Partners on routine ER processes.
- Leading enterprise initiatives related to employee representation and consultation.
- Mentoring and advising on works council, union, and labor relations matters, fostering constructive partnerships.
The essential requirements include:
- University degree in Law, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in HR, employee relations, or labor law, preferably in Europe (Sweden and Nordics experience is a plus).
- Expertise in labor and employment laws and employee relations landscape.
- Experience managing employee investigations and working with employee representative bodies.
- Pragmatic, proactive approach with strong stakeholder influence skills.
- Process development experience to ensure consistent ER practices.
- Fluency in Swedish is preferred; travel up to 20% required.
