Responsibilities

A Senior Learning Experience Designer (SLED) is a high-impact role that wears many hats. Core responsibilities include:

• Design unforgettable learning solutions – Craft bespoke solutions reflecting the Unforgettable Learning brand and human-centered design principles, solving specific learner needs and client challenges.
• Demonstrate best practices in learning (neuroscience, cognitive psychology, adult learning theory, behavioral science) aligned to Sponge’s strategy and applied with relevance.
• Partner with business leaders, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to drive clear learning outcomes and deliver best-in-class experiences that meet strategic needs.

• Lead and execute projects – Deliver client projects on time, within scope, and at high quality; foster loyalty and commercial momentum with key accounts; facilitate workshops with tailored activities; evaluate learning impact; adapt to project needs and client preferences.

• Be an advocate for Sponge – Forge partnerships across the business to deliver on the Unforgettable Learning promise; identify ways to improve quality and processes; support the development of others through knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentoring.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be to:

• Partner with clients and stakeholders to drive learning outcomes and business impact.

• Lead and execute projects

• Foster loyalty and commercial momentum with key accounts.
• Facilitate effective workshops and evaluate success against client goals.

• Be an advocate for Sponge
• Develop cross-team partnerships and drive improvements in quality and processes.
• Support the development of others through knowledge sharing, coaching, and mentoring.

Skills you’ll need to succeed

• Learning Experience Design – Collaborate with a team of designers to craft compelling, impactful learning experiences using Sponge’s bespoke digital learning capability.
• Storytelling – Convey complex ideas within a clear narrative for pitches, content meetings, or executive recommendations.
• Strategic Problem Solving – Translate organizational needs into activated learning strategy and innovative solutions with measurable impact.
• Business Acumen – Understand the strategic value of learning and articulate value to the wider business.
• Customer Excellence – Build relationships across levels, demonstrate expertise, and communicate with confidence and professionalism.
• Agency experience – Experience working with diverse clients in a fast-paced, changeable environment.
• Service delivery experience – Significant experience in a service delivery environment.
• Learning best practices – Proficiently apply and communicate best practices in learning design.
• Familiarity with authoring tools – Experience with tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Evolve, and LMSs.
