Role Overview: Join a global medical technology leader as Senior Legal Counsel focused on technology and privacy. Drive legal strategy for digital health initiatives, support IT and Privacy teams, draft technology contracts, and advise on data privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Global Legal team, you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to IT and Privacy functions, guiding strategic projects and ensuring legal compliance across global operations.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage complex technology contracts, including cloud, AI, and connected medical device agreements.
  • Provide expert advice on GDPR, UK Data Protection Act, HIPAA, and other global privacy frameworks.
  • Support digital health, AI governance, and cybersecurity initiatives within a regulated industry.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor (England and Wales, US or equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction) with 7+ years post‑qualification experience in commercial contracting, IT/technology contracting, and data privacy law.
  • Strong knowledge of GDPR, UK Data Protection Act, HIPAA, and other global privacy frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience advising on digital health, AI, cloud services, and cybersecurity within a regulated industry.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and translating complex legal concepts into practical guidance.
