Visa is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Development Executive to contribute to Visa Direct, a payment service enabling fund transfers and disbursements for cards, accounts and digital wallets. This is a hybrid role requiring cross-functional collaboration across product, sales, legal, risk, and finance.

Job Description

Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and payment service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to people around the world for Card, Account and Digital Wallets products. This is a unique opportunity to help build a new ecosystem in the fast-moving world of payments. The role is matrix and cross-functional, interfacing with specialized product groups, financial institution sales, merchant and acquiring sales, client consulting, marketing and corporate communications, legal, and finance to achieve aspirational objectives. Visa is seeking a thought leader in strategy and business growth with a proven record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute Go-to-Market plans in agreement with key internal stakeholders: build a strong pipeline, transform it into opportunities and revenues aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Create and nurture a wide network of key stakeholders in UK and Ireland.
  • Engage with senior representatives of target organizations (e.g., Head of Payments, Head of Retail Products, Head of Transaction Banking, Head of Correspondent Banking, Head of Cards, Head of Network).
  • Define the best product proposition based on deep knowledge of targeted entities’ situation and roadmap for implementation of services.
  • Support the team in structuring high-value, complex global commercial deal structures.
  • Support local, in-market sales teams with top priority sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Customer Support, Visa Consulting Analytics, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Marketing, and C-Level executives as needed.

What we expect of you, day to day

  • Lead prospecting and new customer acquisition strategies for Money Movements opportunities with existing and new clients. Build relationships, organize events, and communicate Visa Direct solutions.
  • Work with Account Executives to coordinate opportunities with the overall customer account plan.
  • Research customer and market trends to identify potential new clients and opportunities, and position Visa as a market leader.
  • Assess deal potential, leveraging cross-functional teams to drive deals forward.
  • Anticipate and uncover client needs in money movements and demonstrate how Visa can address them.
  • Lead with a client-first sales mindset and create custom, differentiated pitches and solutions.
  • Maintain deal margins and revenue generation during negotiations, selling based on value.
  • Leverage internal and external partnerships to bring Visa Direct to clients.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Senior level B2B sales experience, particularly in digital product or solutions.
  • Experience selling to fintech customers.

Knowledge Focus Areas

  • Deep knowledge of various sales cycles and stages.

Skills/Competencies

  • The successful candidate will lead new customer acquisition activities and manage them throughout the sales cycle, collaborating across Visa functions to build a network and solve complex problems. Strong representation of Visa to external partners.
  • Passive and active interest in Payments/Fintech with client-relationship skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to execute on ambitious goals and quotas.
