Overview
The EY Financial Services Data and Analytics (DnA) consulting team is growing. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager with strong experience in Data and Analytics solutions, particularly within Specialty Insurance, to join our team.
Your Expertise
We are looking for Data and Analytics specialists with strong experience in the Insurance sector, with understanding of Global Corporate and Specialty Insurance and the London Market, and deep knowledge of Underwriting and Claims platforms, Cloud, modern data architectures, data engineering and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large data programmes (data transformation, data analytics, data strategy) from strategy to execution.
- Support the delivery of key Data and Analytics solutions; nurture relationships within EY and with clients.
- Contribute to data and analytics solution design and implementation, combining cloud-based data and analytics design with a deep understanding of insurance technology processes and data.
- Build and lead high-performing teams; coach, mentor, and serve as a role model.
- Business development, including development of long-term trusted advisor relationships with clients; lead RFP responses and contribute to thought leadership.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in Insurance domain, preferably Global Corporate and Specialty Insurance and London Market.
- Understanding of insurance business processes (Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial) and technology platforms, with focus on specialty insurance.
- Knowledge of insurance industry data models.
- Advanced knowledge in at least one core capability: Data Architecture & Data Engineering, Data Management & Strategy, or Data Science & Information Analysis.
- Understanding of KPIs and KRAs across Insurance functions.
- Ability to deliver complex data programmes involving ingestion, integration, standardisation, and visualisation.
- Experience in designing data projects and delivering value through data.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills with experience building high-performing teams.
- Awareness of emerging technology trends including cloud-based data platforms.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and business writing skills; able to liaise with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, client expectations, contracts, budgets, quality, and risk; engage with senior stakeholders on large cross-functional projects.
- Analytical thinking to translate complex problems into workable solutions.
Desirable
- Experience in the London insurance market / Lloyd’s of London.
- Previous consulting experience.
- Relevant qualifications for example: SCRUM, SAFe.
- Understanding of cloud data platforms and technologies.
