The EY Financial Services AI & Data team is growing and developing unique advisory propositions aligned to market needs and demand, particularly in the Specialty Insurance sector. We are seeking exceptional Senior Manager level consultants with strong experience in AI & Data solution design and implementation to join our team and drive growth on a global scale, tailored to Specialty Insurance and London Market challenges and opportunities. The opportunity
The AI & Data practice collaborates with clients to solve complex business problems by exploiting data and analytics strategies and solutions. We provide expertise and delivery in core areas which work closely together:

• Data Architecture & Engineering – Focus on next generation data solution architecture design and implementation
• Data Management & Data Strategy – Support for Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data and Analytics Target Operating Model Design and wider Data Office and CDO support functions

Your key responsibilities

• Lead large and complex projects (Data transformation, Data Analytics, Data strategy) from strategy to execution.
• Support delivery of key Data and AI projects, nurture relationships within EY and with clients, and develop capabilities through formal training and collaboration with senior mentors.
• Contribute to Data and AI solution design and implementation, bringing expertise in cloud-based data and analytics solution design and implementation with sector domain knowledge. Work with clients and EY colleagues to support engagements and develop thought leadership in data and technology.
• Build and lead high performing teams, coaching, mentoring and serving as a role model.
• Business development; develop long-term trusted advisor relationships with clients. Lead RFP responses and contribute to thought leadership to the market.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have some or all of the following:

• Previous FS experience in Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance and Wealth and Asset Management, preferably Insurance
• Advanced knowledge in at least one core capability:
• Data Architecture & Data Engineering
• Advanced Analytics Cloud Architectures and Tooling
• Data Management, Data Strategy, Data Governance and Data Quality
• Demonstrable experience of complex data programmes
• Expert level knowledge of data requirements and design issues in data projects
• Developing and contributing to business development and go-to-market activities in Data and Analytics; lead RFP responses and thought leadership papers
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with experience in building high performing teams
• Experience with one or more cloud data platforms
• Previous experience in Insurance domain, preferably Global Corporate and Specialty Insurance and London Market
• Understanding of insurance business processes (Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, etc.) and technology platforms, with focus on specialty insurance
• Good understanding of insurance industry data models
• Comprehensive understanding of the London Market, including Syndicate and Company Market operations
• Ability to engage with C-suite executives on best practices for implementing intricate Specialty Insurance and London Market data platforms
• Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies

• Exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including liaison with both technical and business contacts
• Ability to deliver multiple engagements, exceed client expectations, manage contracts, billing and budgets, and manage quality and risk
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and manage large cross-functional projects
• Strong problem-solving and reasoning ability to translate complex problems into workable solutions
