Job Description

What will you be doing? You will be part of an open and transparent team that works closely together to collaborate and provide ideas. Our national R&D team has a portfolio of large and complex clients, offering an array of complex and rewarding incentives and relief advisory work within an entrepreneurial business line culture that people enjoy.

Responsibilities

  • Working alongside Partners/Directors or alone, identify, prospect for and deliver support and advice in respect of R&D tax credits to both existing and new clients.
  • Advise clients on the quantum of claims, identify and analyse qualifying expenditure and set this out in claims submitted to HMRC.
  • Drive business development by utilising specialist R&D tax expertise to identify new opportunities for claims, leveraging your network of potential clients and intermediaries.

Qualifications

  • Significant R&D tax experience with a variety of clients in terms of size, complexity and sector focus.
  • Knowledge of HMRC processes for reviewing claims and specific technical knowledge of qualifying activities for R&D tax incentives.
  • Understanding of UK and International businesses and how R&D tax services can best be delivered to benefit them.
  • Track record of business development, winning business from both new and existing clients.
  • Technical competence to manage complex client work.
  • Experience of managing people and clients.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

Professional Qualifications and Education

  • Finance, accounting, software or engineering qualification.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA) and/or tax advisor (CTA).
