Our growing and evolving transfer pricing team is looking for an experienced Transfer Pricing Manager to further expand our transfer pricing service line offering. You should have a solid foundation of providing transfer pricing advice across a variety of industries and sectors.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, friendly team and to develop this role and our client base further. The role has arisen due increasing demand for transfer pricing services from our growing portfolio of international entrepreneurial clients requiring transfer pricing solutions.

You should have practical experience in advising on the UK’s transfer pricing legislation. Candidates who also have a broad knowledge of international corporate tax principles will find this a challenging and rewarding role.

The team

The Transfer Pricing Team forms part of Saffery’s Corporate Tax team. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation of providing sound transfer pricing advice across a variety of industries and sectors of transfer pricing specialists, who lives our firm’s values and is a collaborative and dependable team member.

Our team is led by our Transfer Pricing Director who developed the team and reports into our International Tax Partner. The team is a national resource and services the Saffery offices nationally. The team is based in multiple locations but meets in person regularly. It is a small but growing team with its members spending all of their time on marketing, tendering and delivering transfer pricing projects as well as being involved in relevant international tax aspects of our transfer pricing client base.

You

The role would suit a qualified individual with several years post qualification experience in transfer pricing.

• Have strong and relevant transfer pricing experience in complex transactions, including intellectual property, business restructuring and operational transfer pricing solutions and the use of technology in transfer pricing.
• Have a broad practical experience delivering transfer pricing solutions to your client base and a background in international taxation.
• Have practical experience in advising on the UK’s transfer pricing legislation for debt and HMRC’s guidance on thin capitalisation, agreement of ATCAs.
• Have sound knowledge of the UK’s Corporate Interest Restriction legislation. Candidates who also have a broad knowledge of international corporate tax principles will find this a rewarding role,
• Enjoy technical challenges and learning,
• Have an ability to assist in the development of creative and robust transfer pricing solutions,
• Be able to flex your advice in a client scenario to the size of the client,
• Be able to see the bigger picture around the client’s commercial fact pattern,
• Support partners and directors with aspects of leadership,
• Proactively develop internal and external relationships and demonstrate successful networking in previous roles,
• Manage and deliver projects to the Transfer Pricing Director for sign off,
• Develop your projects from the proposal stage, with assistance from the team, managing them to budget,
• Have a broad general international tax background, as well as a robust foundation and experience in transfer pricing for asset managers
• Should be educated to degree level or equivalent, hold either ACA/CTA/ADIT/law qualification or international equivalents.
