Our Ports and Maritime team is seeking a Senior Maritime Engineer with a civil and structural background to play a key technical role across multiple UK and international projects. You will join an established team with over 100 years of combined experience, delivering world-class maritime and coastal infrastructure for local authorities, private developers, defence clients, and internal AECOM teams in the UK and overseas. Flexible on location across the UK.Job DutiesResponsible for the planning, preparation and successful completion of deliverables.Present calculations to a high standard of quality and use current software (including ROBOT, GRLWEAP, WALLAP, TEDDS, PLAXIS 3D and others).Check and review technical specifications, reports and technical notes to a high standard.Review and comment on design, drawings and specifications to ensure timely and accurate results.Mentor staff to achieve technical solutions and develop knowledge and experience.Assist in the preparation of tenders (programme, cost estimate, resourcing, written quality/technical input).Design structures in the marine environment (quay walls, piers, jetties, revetment, breakwaters, fendering, scour protection, linkspan supports, dolphins, etc.).Experience in the construction supervision of maritime structures.Good understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes and best practice in the maritime environment.Experience delivering projects across a range of cost and complexity.QualificationsMEng or BEng in civil or structural engineering.Be able to obtain SC security clearance.Why Join AECOM?Join a collaborative global organisation known for delivering complex, multi-disciplinary maritime and coastal projects.
