Salary
£52,647 depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of solutions to technical issues as a member of a project team, reporting to a Technical Lead and directly to the customer.
- Develop design solutions based on customer requirements, validating and verifying through the design process.
- Review and check design work and technical reports, providing help and direction to less experienced engineers.
- Carry out technical analysis and investigations, and prepare reports with suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability.
- Lead and/or support solutions to production and manufacturing technical queries raised by suppliers, internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations Team) and non‑conformance reports within required project time frames.
Qualifications
- Essential: Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or a high level of experience within an engineering environment, while having experience writing and reviewing technical reports and specifications.
- Design experience in a multi‑disciplined, production and/or manufacturing environment, answering technical queries and non‑conformance reports.
- Experience performing structural/stress analysis, and familiarity with product data management (PDM) tools to configuration manage data.
- Working knowledge of technical office processes, standards and standard instructions (e.g., BMS and LCM).
- Familiarity with engineering drawing standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Desirable: Working experience using CAD software (CREO Parametrics) and PLM software (Teamcenter).
- Previous production, manufacturing, machining, welding, casting and assembly experience.

Additional Information
All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous service in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
