The Role

As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a global, cross‑disciplinary, agile team designing, implementing, validating and maintaining mechanical subsystems for Markem‑Imaje current and future printers. In this role you will work with talented engineers in a global environment, building complex products. From proof of concept to production you will work with products across a variety of printing technologies, targeting our customers’ needs and the strategic objectives of Markem‑Imaje.

What you will do

  • Drive quality and efficiency within the Mechanical Engineering team by setting an outstanding example in terms of highly effective design collaboration with cross‑functional teams in a global capacity (USA, UK, France, Poland, Italy, India, China).
  • Perform and lead CAD design, engineering computer simulations, and mechanical engineering related lab experiments in support of design validation and reliability goals.
  • Bring a strong technical expertise during design reviews and problem‑solving activities.
  • Deploy state‑of‑the‑art mechanical engineering development practices such as advanced fabrication methods, rapid prototyping, reliability studies, FEA/CFD simulation, etc.
  • Follow and drive improvement of best practices and tools to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and mechanical subsystem quality.
  • Use outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to execute efficient interfaces with third‑party engineering partners and suppliers.

What you need to have

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Significant experience in Mechanical Engineering research and development roles, preferably within an industrial environment.
  • Experience designing industrial products from concept through production.
  • Experience in CAD design (Creo/Windchill), FEA/CFD analysis, and thermal/flow/pneumatics/electro‑mechanical testing.
  • Experience in 3D manufacturing, additive manufacturing, injection molding or precision part casting is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Organized, results‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
