OverviewWe are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Thermal Engineer to join the Precision Guidance Integrated Project Team (IPT), working on equipment for the next generation of Missile Seeker Programmes.Location: Basildon (1 day/week on site)Contract: Initial 6 month contractPlease note we can only consider sole UK Nationals for this roleWhat you’ll do as a Senior Mechanical Thermal EngineerAnalyse and assess Electro-Mechanical Products for thermal performance against Systems Requirements using finite element techniques and classical hand calculations.Generate Finite Element Models and reportsSupport the down selection of compliant solutions (including materials) based on an understanding of Industry recognised solutions for Thermal Management.Conduct thermal analyses of complex Products using Ansys IcePak.Advise/support on the development of mechanical thermal management solutions to achieve the desired Product Requirements.Generate mechanical solutions for harsh environments (Shock, Vibration, Temperature, EMC, etc).What we need from youThe candidate will have proven experience in the use of Finite Element Analysis software tools (preferably Ansys IcePak) and techniques.Perform ‘hands on’ mechanical design and development using 3D CAD software (PTC Creo).Working evidence on the application of a wide range of classical hand calculation techniques for Thermal Analyses.Experienced in the integration of Printed Circuit Boards within a mechanical structure, with proven knowledge of electrical screening, grounding, etc.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionEngineering and ManufacturingIndustriesAviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing and Defense and Space ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at CBSbutler by 2xGet notified about new Thermal Engineer jobs in Basildon, England, United Kingdom. #J-18808-Ljbffr
