Overview

As a Certification Consultant in the Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology (ADS&T) division, you will review and assess compliance achievement of complex system design against compliance needs for a variety of air systems and provide guidance and leadership both internally and externally to achieve programme needs. You will lead key presentations, work closely with clients, and develop and implement strategies to solve their most complex problems.

Your Role

  • Leadership of major certification management assignments for clients.
  • Provision of safety, airworthiness, technical evaluation, and certification artefacts.
  • Assurance of work undertaken by project teams.
  • Support to markets.
  • Providing a vision of future needs to support the development of capability.
  • Deliver aviation certification related projects and inspire and be inspired by colleagues worldwide.

Essential Criteria

  • Understanding and application of ASPIRE and AET Process 08 and MAA Regulatory Publications (MRP).
  • Understanding and application of the Military Air System Certification Process (MACP) and assessment of AMCs, establishing MCRIs, TCBs and TCEs.
  • Understanding and application of Airworthiness codes such as Defence Standard 00-970, Certification Specifications (CS) or FARs.
  • Understanding and application of military aviation hazard/accident management and building sustainable relationships with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation and presentation of reports to internal and external clients.

Desirable Criteria

  • Chartered/Incorporated Engineer or equivalent or working towards it.
  • Knowledge and awareness of discipline and related disciplines across varied markets including Defence.
  • Experience in development of Airworthiness Strategies / Certification Management Plans and teaching the discipline to others.
  • Development and generation of Safety Assessments and knowledge of Defence Standards such as Def Stan 00-056.
  • Experience in wider markets and ability to sell related discipline capability to internal and external clients across varied markets; membership of UK, EU, or US societies/working groups.
