Description Overview

In this role, you will effectively plan & carry out account management to achieve turnover & gross profit budgets within Perrigo UK's range of products within a given account portfolio. You will also identify & deliver new business opportunities and plan supply of an agreed range, identifying turnover and profit capabilities.

Scope of the Role

  • Lead a team across two of the traditional ‘Top 4’ UK retailers with a customer first and category centric approach
  • Build and maintain close customer relationships through appropriate communication to strengthen Perrigo credibility and influence with the customer.
  • Leverage Joint Business Planning to plan & prioritise customer sales activities and achieve agreed business aims, including costs, product forecasts and sales for agreed customers. Retain overall responsibility for profit, loss and growth in key accounts meeting targets set at the start of the business year.
  • Maintain customer account plans and ensure day to day communication with retailer buying teams and other relevant account contacts (Supply, Category, Marketing etc.).
  • Help develop sustainable, focused solutions to customer issues building long term partnership.
  • Manage any supply issues with customers, working with Perrigo supply chains to minimise adverse events and prevent recurrence.

Experience Required

  • Relevant commercial & business awareness transferable to the Self Care industry
  • Currently leading an account team at SNAM level
  • Knowledge of Grocery and Pharmacy/Drug retail sector from an account management perspective
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare sector from a Store Brand and Branded perspective
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and disseminate data accurately; degree level ideally in a related business discipline (marketplace experience key).

General Business Administration Skills

  • Numeracy and literacy – capable of writing cohesive reports/proposals for senior management and undertaking data analysis of core market and account data.
  • Computer literacy – familiar with Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Current full valid UK driving licence.
