Senior .NET Developer – OSCAR ASSOCIATES (UK) LIMITED Manchester (Hybrid – 2 days in our Manchester office) | £55,000-£65,000 DOE We’re working with a fast‑growing tech company based in the heart of Manchester, building innovative digital solutions that power some of the UK’s leading brands. Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications using C# and .NET (Core/6/7). Collaborate with cross‑functional teams – product managers, designers, and other engineers – to deliver high‑quality solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and SOLID principles. Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps. Mentor and guide mid‑level and junior developers within the team. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies. Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance performance and maintainability.
Technologies
Languages & Frameworks: C#, .NET Core/6/7, ASP.NET, Entity Framework Core Frontend (nice to have): React, Angular, or Blazor Database: SQL Server, Azure SQL Cloud & DevOps: Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps) Tools & Practices: REST APIs, Microservices, TDD, Git, Agile (Scrum)
Essentials
5+ years of commercial experience in .NET development. Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and software design patterns. Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure). Familiarity with modern development practices such as CI/CD and automated testing. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. A proactive, team‑oriented attitude with a passion for technology and learning.
Desirables
Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Blazor). Knowledge of microservices architecture. Exposure to event‑driven systems (e.g. using RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).
