We have a great opportunity to join our New Product Introduction team as a Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer. You’ll contribute to the development of next‑generation wound care products, making a significant impact for our customers and for Smith+Neuhew.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance to project and technical teams to ensure all new products are designed for manufacture.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the Wound franchise for the Design Transfer process, ensuring Medical Devices transferred into Operations are compliant and value‑adding.
  • Ensure the end product meets or exceeds business expectations in terms of market need, quality, manufacturability, cost, and availability.
  • Influence New Product Development under guidance from senior leadership, using the design transfer process.
  • Align to project timelines and find opportunities to accelerate time‑to‑market while maintaining project deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Education in a relevant engineering background, such as a B.ENG degree or equivalent experience or Higher National Certificate.
  • Previous experience in an engineering‑bias role with an understanding of and passion for the manufacturing process.
  • Experience with NPI and supplier relationship management would be advantageous, however not crucial.
