Senior Oracle Fusion Technical Consultant (Integration Focussed)
Senior Oracle Fusion Technical Consultant with a focus on integration. This role is based in the UK with hybrid working and occasional travel to the nearest base office.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP/HCM/EPM) and external applications using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Build Application Integrations, orchestration flows, file-based and scheduled integrations across on-premises and cloud systems.
- Develop and manage REST/SOAP-based integrations leveraging Oracle SaaS APIs, web services, and adapters (FTP, Database, REST, ERP Cloud, HCM Cloud, etc.).
- Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms with operational visibility through OIC and OCI console dashboards.
- Design secure connectivity using OCI Vault, certificates, and OAuth2 authentication standards.
- Optimise integration performance through efficient payload handling, streaming, and parallel processing.
- Collaborate with data migration teams to align integration design with data readiness, sequencing, and transformation requirements.
- Prepare technical specifications, mapping documents, and deployment artefacts following agreed governance and quality standards.
- Leverage complementary OCI services (API Gateway, Object Storage, Functions, ATP/ADW) to extend integration capabilities.
- Support DevOps automation for OIC deployment and configuration management using Visual Builder Studio (VBS) or Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify opportunities for reusability, standardisation, and automation within the integration landscape.
- Work with BI and reporting teams to design integration-enabled extracts and data pipelines using BIP, BICC, and FDI.
- Ensure integration data models align with reporting, validation, and audit requirements.
- Ensure all integration solutions adhere to design standards, security principles, and change-control governance.
- Conduct peer reviews and technical assurance checks across integration artefacts.
- Support SIT, UAT, and performance testing, including debugging, issue resolution, and environment coordination.
- Provide post-go-live support and knowledge transfer to client and support teams.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to capability-building across the Oracle Cloud technical community.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Oracle Cloud or integration-focused technical delivery, with in-depth Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) expertise.
- Hands-on experience with OIC integrations, REST/SOAP APIs, XSLT/XPath, and file-based data flows.
- Experience integrating Oracle Fusion ERP/HCM with third-party or on-prem systems (e.g. SAP, Workday, Azure, ServiceNow).
- Proficiency in OIC connectivity agents, certificate management, OAuth2, and security token configurations.
- Understanding of Oracle SaaS data models, and experience with FBDI, HDL, and BICC interfaces.
- Familiarity with OCI PaaS components such as Object Storage, Functions, and API Gateway.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (VBS, Jenkins, or Git) for integration code promotion and version control.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to operate within structured, multi-wave public-sector transformation programmes governed by robust assurance and audit controls.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) or Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
- Experience with Oracle Visual Builder or Oracle Process Automation (OPA).
- Familiarity with UK public-sector environments and UK Gov Cloud security controls.
- Awareness of industry security and compliance standards (NCSC CAF, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus).
- Oracle certifications in OIC, Oracle Cloud Platform, or Integration Specialist credentials.
