Capula – part of the EDF Group seeks a highly skilled Industrial Automation & Control Systems Cyber Security Engineer to join our Operational Technology team. Location: Stone, Staffordshire (Hybrid options available).

Responsibilities

• Design and secure OT networks across regulated industries.
• Lead threat modelling, penetration testing, and red teaming in IC\S environments.
• Engineer security solutions aligned with NIST, ISO, IEC, and NIS-R standards.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and forensic investigations in OT/ICS environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, including 2+ years in IC\S/SCADA environments (PLCs, RTUs, HMI systems).
• Strong understanding of IC\S protocols: MODBUS, OPC, DNP3.
• Experience securing cross-domain IT/OT interfaces and real-time systems.
• Proven ability to design secure networks: switching, routing, firewalls.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK for IC\S, Bow‑Tie Analysis, and adversary simulation.
• Hands‑on experience with tools such as Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit, fuzzing tools.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks: NIST 800‑53/800‑82, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, HSE OG‑86, NIS‑R.
• Experience with DFIR operations in industrial environments (e.g., VxWorks, Embedded Linux, WinCC, PCS 7).
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to build effective relationships across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Eligible for SC clearance.
