Senior Pensions Administrator
Competitive salary, 10% annual bonus potential, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising with service, and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates. Permanent, Full time. This role is based at our Sheffield office on Pond Street (S98 6HR) and follows a hybrid working model. You will be expected to attend the office approximately once or twice per month.
We're on the lookout for ambitious and experienced professionals to join our award-winning Pensions Service Centre. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional service and have a strong background in Defined Benefit (DB) pensions, we'd love to hear from you.
We are looking for a Senior Pensions Administrator to join a crucial project team looking at De-Risking our Royal Mail Pension Plan.
About the Role
As a Senior Pensions Administrator in our De-Risking team, you'll play a key role in verifying data held on our pension administration system. Your work will help ensure the accuracy of benefits information, giving confidence to stakeholders and potential insurance providers.
- Investigating and resolving data anomalies identified by our data quality software, within programme timelines
- Maintaining a comprehensive and accurate data model
- Evaluating outputs to support decisions and rectification actions
- Delivering benefit rectifications where needed
- Collaborating across teams to support rectification benefit calculations and payments
- Producing and testing system change requests and reports
- Preparing project member communications and ensuring our helpline team is ready to support member queries
About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
- A strong understanding of DB pension structures is essential
- A strong understanding of pension scheme data and pension administration databases
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, confident in handling large volumes of complex data
- Advanced PC skills, especially in Excel, and the ability to work with third-party data tools
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and working with ambiguity
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with some experience engaging senior stakeholders and professional advisors
- Great attention to detail, while keeping sight of the bigger picture
- At least an Award in Pensions Essentials (APE) qualified or willing to study for this level of qualification
- Experience in de-risking projects (desirable)
