Senior Pensions Project Analyst – Contract, Full Time Hybrid. 36.25 hours per week. Based at XPS locations with projects including GMP, Buy-in/Buy-out, Data Cleansing, Public Sector, or Pension Dashboard teams.

About The Role

The Senior Pensions Project Analyst will join the Admin Project Team (APT), a specialised project resource responsible for project work across XPS to ensure day-to-day administration work and resources are unaffected. The APT handles projects such as GMP rectification/equalisation, buy-in/buy-out, data cleansing, scheme closures, benefit rectifications, liability reduction exercises, McCloud, and pension dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Consultants to undertake project work and deliver in line with deadlines and client expectations.
  • Update relevant pensions administration databases and systems.
  • Perform basic calculations.
  • Run automated system extracts and manipulate data.
  • Review member records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments/teams to ensure project delivery.
  • Update time recording systems for chargeable and non-chargeable activities and monitor utilisation targets.
  • Occasionally undertake other activities of a similar nature within capabilities.

Your Profile

Essential

  • Previous experience in a Pensions Project role or within Pensions Administration.
  • Previous Defined Benefit pensions experience.
  • Previous GMP experience.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Able to see projects/tasks through to completion within given timescales.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions, procedures, policies, and assimilate information quickly.
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility for own work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good verbal communication and active listening skills; able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Nice to have – A background in pension administration and data handling would be beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Maths and English GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent.
