Job Title: Senior Performance Analyst – SEND
Contract: 3-Month Rolling
Day Rate: £375/day (Inside IR35)
Location: Central London (Hybrid – 1-2 days on-site per week)
Start: ASAP
Salt’s Local Government team is working with a London borough to recruit an experienced Senior Performance Analyst to lead on performance and intelligence work within their Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services.
This is a key role where your analytical expertise will help shape decision-making across the Education division. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality data insights, visualisations, and reports that directly inform strategic planning, commissioning, and service improvement in SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead performance analysis and reporting across SEND services
- Develop and manage KPIs aligned to statutory and service priorities
- Deliver clear, actionable insights using tools such as Power BI
- Work with internal stakeholders to improve data quality, usage, and governance
- Support statutory reporting and present findings to senior leaders and external partners
- Maintain performance systems and lead on improvements to reporting frameworks
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in data analysis and performance reporting within the public sector
- Demonstrable experience working with SEND data or within Education services
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and data modelling
- Comfortable handling large datasets from systems like CAPITA (One), Mosaic, or similar
- Confident communicating complex data to non-technical audiences
- Experience producing reports to support inspections, audits, or statutory requirements
