About The Opportunity

As a Senior Physicist, you will be expected to lead small to medium sized projects or tasks independently with minimal guidance. You may oversee the work of small teams and mentor junior team members. You will be responsible for the technical delivery of tasks and for technical interactions with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Detailed knowledge and experience within a physics discipline relevant to the nuclear industry (e.g., transient analysis, reactor physics, shielding, thermal hydraulics, etc.).
  • Ability to assimilate, analyse and provide clear judgements on complex technical issues.
  • Good consultancy skills, including communication, teamwork, adaptability to client requirements, and time management.
  • Experience with bid writing or assessment and associated commercial awareness.
  • Familiarity with nuclear safety assessments and safety case construction.

Qualifications

  • Nuclear master’s or PhD preferred, or a degree/postgraduate qualification in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
  • Ability to assimilate, analyse and provide clear judgements on complex technical issues.
  • Good consultancy skills, including communication, teamwork, adaptability to client requirements, and time management.
