Planning Engineer – Major Rail Programme

Hybrid - 1 day a week in either London OR Birmingham

We’re looking for a Senior Planning Engineer with strong NEC contract knowledge to join a high-profile rail project..

The Role

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Perform critical path analysis, progress tracking, and risk assessments to keep the programme on track.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure NEC contract compliance and effective programme delivery.
• Engage with stakeholders, providing clear reporting, schedule optimisation, and mitigation strategies.

What You’ll Need

️ Proven experience in planning and scheduling on major infrastructure projects.

️ Solid understanding of NEC contracts and experience working within a contractor environment.

️ Proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong schedule management skills.

️ Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
