Overview
Join to apply for the Senior Platform Engineer role at Doccla.
We’re Doccla, redefining how healthcare is delivered. Our Virtual Ward and Remote Monitoring Solutions enable hospitals and health systems to care for patients at home across the full care journey, from early discharge to long-term condition management and proactive care. We provide clinicians with devices, logistics, onboarding, EHR integration, and an end-to-end clinical platform built around real-world workflows. We work with over 60% of NHS ICBs and supporting health systems across the UK, Ireland, France, and the DACH region to reduce hospital pressure and improve outcomes. We are backed by investors with £35m in Series B funding.
This is your chance to join Doccla at a key growth stage as we build the category leader in Virtual Care and Remote Patient Monitoring.
What You’ll Do as a Senior Platform Engineer
You will help realise and steer a cloud presence that enables builder teams, technologists, and users to safely, securely, rapidly and easily leverage the cloud services needed to accelerate patient care in our virtual ward. You will work with the business to enable and automate complex workloads supporting engineering, data, and core tooling pipelines, and you will provide systems that optimise for both batch and continuous workloads. Our vision is a platform with immutable infrastructure, zero trust and effective pipelines to enable teams to rapidly operationalise workloads with compliance, security, observability, logging and alerting baked in, as we grow the team to deliver it.
What Experience You’ll Bring to the Team
Building out an effective, modular platform using modern infrastructure as code patterns
Creating effective CI/CD delivery pipelines so users can focus on their work
Ensuring identity and access management delivers a secure and minimal platform while enabling users
Working cross-functionally to migrate existing infrastructure to the new platform
Tracking, understanding, and optimising cloud spend
Enabling product teams to own and run their own infrastructure with solid observability, alerting and operability
Building out an effective HA/DR approach
Supporting 'secure by default' approaches for security and compliance
What We’re Looking For
Someone who genuinely cares about helping users, balances needs with business goals, pursues tangible outcomes, and communicates well with a diverse team. You should have a collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn and share.
Established in technical delivery of cloud infrastructure enabling builder teams
Experience with AWS or GCP and automating infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
Modern CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
Development and scripting skills
Alerting/monitoring tooling and building a sustainable on-call process
Disaster recovery, resilience, and security automation
Cloud security and hardening
Understanding of cost management as part of cloud platform administration
Bias toward action and mission-driven work
Excellent communication, including with less-technical staff
Experience in diverse, inclusive, collaborative environments
Comfortable with both pair programming and independent work, with regular check-ins to avoid issues.
