The Role

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining the core software and infrastructure that power the platform.

You’ll champion DevOps best practices, drive continuous delivery, and help define architectural and technical direction to ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and scalable.

This is a hands‑on engineering position where you’ll work closely with development and operations teams, bridging the gap between software delivery and platform reliability.

  • Design, develop, and maintain platform software and infrastructure to support secure, scalable systems.
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid, reliable deployments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed best practices for monitoring, security, and performance.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with secure coding standards (OWASP, API security, web application best practices).
  • Support automation, observability, and continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering organisation.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…

  • Bring solid DevOps and infrastructure engineering skills.
  • Have hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understand cloud environments (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP also great).
  • Care deeply about building reliable systems that make a real‑world impact.
  • Experience working in AI, Biotech, or other data‑intensive domains.
  • Familiarity with observability stacks and monitoring best practices.
  • Interest in security automation and platform resilience.
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for mentoring or knowledge sharing.

  • Flexible working hours – you choose your schedule.
  • 27 days annual leave + bank holidays.
  • Wellness budget.
  • Company‑wide socials and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Great company pension.
  • Work with cutting‑edge AI and cloud technologies in a genuinely impactful environment.

Please note: You need to be based within a 1 hour 30 minute drive of Oxford. You also need to be eligible to work in the UK as the role does not offer sponsorship.
