Overview
Withfrontier is partnering with a dynamic, fast-growing SEO, Paid Media and Content Marketing agency that’s scaling their Paid media capabilities. They’re a 75-person agency with a 30-strong paid media team, and they’re looking to bring on a Senior PPC Account Manager who’ll be entrusted with high-impact work, owning a very small portfolio of enterprise and medium sized clients, shaping strategy, delivering campaigns across Google, Bing, Shopping - and mentoring teams. This person will join a high-performing PPC function and report directly to the Head of PPC.
Location: Manchester, UK. Hybrid pattern (approx. 2 days per week in their Manchester office).
What they’re looking for
You’ll be someone who can step into a senior role and immediately own:
- Running and optimising PPC campaigns (Google/Bing, Shopping, lead generation etc.) end-to-end, delivering strong results.
- Managing medium-to-large accounts — those with ad budgets north of £100,000 per month.
- Working collaboratively with leadership to devise forward-looking strategy, staying on top of updates (Google, Microsoft, etc.), and modern PPC trends.
- Taking responsibility for delivery across some of the agency’s largest accounts.
- Leading certain client relationships: stewarding strategy calls, reporting, presenting insights with confidence.
- Internally, mentoring and managing junior PPC staff, helping them to grow, contributing to team processes and improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Own PPC delivery, ensuring campaigns hit or exceed KPIs.
- Audit existing accounts for performance issues, identify opportunities, and drive continuous optimisation.
- Lead strategy sessions, taking initiative on proactive ideas.
- Provide leadership internally: guiding junior team members, trainings or workshops; support hiring, onboarding; maintain quality and efficiency in PPC workflows.
- Manage time, budgets, client expectations: commercial accountability is crucial.
Skills & experience you’ll need
- Minimum 3.5-4+ years of PPC experience; proven track record managing sizeable accounts across different industries.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills (you’ll be leading meetings & strategy calls).
- Strong organisational skills: capable of handling fast-paced environments, multiple accounts, tight deadlines.
- Passion for PPC: you care about performance, innovation, staying current.
- Mentoring or team leadership experience is a plus.
- Working pattern: Hybrid.
