Overview

Senior Presales Solutions Architect - EMC (Energy, Manufacturing and Communications) role at Databricks. You will engage with Databricks' largest and most complex customers across the region to advise on adopting the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with some of Databricks’ most complex customers to help them achieve their unified platform goals.
  • Develop and execute customer engagement strategies in partnership with the Account Executives and Solutions Architects in designated accounts.
  • Coach core account teams and peers on positioning, adoption strategies and execution to achieve outcomes within a defined timeline.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd party applications, ensuring alignment with the Databricks vision and solution strategy.
  • Act as a champion for both customers and colleagues, serving as an expert solution architect and trusted advisor for data analytics architecture, design, and adoption of the Databricks Lakehouse platform.
  • Contribute to Databricks’ technical community engagement by developing customer-facing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
  • Opportunities to develop in one of four tracks: technical specialization, industry vertical thought leadership, strategic customer vision, and people management.

What We Look For (Qualifications)

  • Experience engaging in complex customer interactions and sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
  • Technical background in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing (DWH), or Machine Learning/AI.
  • Experience with large customers across multiple verticals, establishing the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform as their platform of choice.
  • Autonomy and ability to thrive with ambiguous requirements and challenging customer environments.
  • Ability to influence decision-makers and C-level executives through relationships and cross-team orchestration for long-term customer success.
  • Experience with coding in a core programming language (Python or SQL) and willingness to learn Spark.
  • Hands-on expertise with proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Ability to provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs and navigate a competitive landscape.
  • Nice to have: Databricks Certification.
  • Up to 30% travel to London offices and customer sites.
