Senior Principal Engineering Lead

As a Senior Principal Engineering Lead you will be a respected leader and senior technical expert ensuring delivery of complex solutions in order to meet business objectives and deliver growth. Day‑to‑day, you will be a respected leader supporting technical strategy using both skills and vision to positively influence the technical direction benefiting both QinetiQ and their customers.

Responsibilities

  • Leading project teams to deliver complex solutions using best practices with the ability to technically lead and integrate outputs delivered by third parties.
  • Being responsible for providing technical leadership for programme, project, and bidding activities.
  • Leading the development of the company and customers strategic intent around IT infrastructure.
  • Providing technical assurance by leading the development of appropriate technical standards that comply with statutory, regulatory, company and project specific processes and procedures.
  • Supporting the development of IT specialism in the Technical Disciplines and supporting resourcing decision including both long‑term/short‑term planning.
  • Collaborating extensively across businesses and functions and utilising all relevant staff and resources.
  • Proven leadership experience leading both technical teams and delivery of complex IT projects.
  • A strong understanding of IT Infrastructure which includes Software Defined datacentres, Windows and Linux based environments, infrastructure design, software design, and automation design.
  • The ability to influence, shape, describe and deliver whole or parts of projects and exercise practical solutions to customer problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to present completed technical material to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

This role is 37 hours per week based at our customer site in Corsham with hybrid working patterns available.

Applicants must be eligible for SC clearance, as a minimum.
