Brighton, GBR – Stantec's Environmental Services Team is seeking a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join us in Cardiff. We are looking for driven individuals who challenge conventional thinking and enjoy collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwork to meet industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. This role offers flexibility between home and office work to support work-life balance.

You will support the delivery of UK infrastructure programmes, primarily in the water sector, with key clients such as Southern Water, Yorkshire Water, and United Utilities. You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary engineering and design teams while providing support and advice to the contractors we work with.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of UK infrastructure programmes, primarily in the water sector, working with key clients such as Southern Water, Yorkshire Water, and United Utilities.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams and provide support and advice to contractors.
• Prepare desk studies for proposed construction sites, including data collection, site inspections, and draft reports.
• Prepare interpretative geotechnical reports for ground investigations and perform analysis of geotechnical structures.
• Contribute to the delivery of high-quality geotechnical solutions for clients and support project success through collaborative problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or a related subject.
• Chartered member or working towards membership of a relevant institution such as the ICE or Geological Society.
• Experience preparing desk studies for proposed construction sites, acquiring data, conducting site inspections, and drafting reports.
• Experience preparing interpretative geotechnical reports for ground investigations and analyzing geotechnical structures.
• Strong passion for delivering quality geotechnical solutions to clients.
