Job Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Consultant to join our team in Liverpool or Warrington on a permanent basis. In this role you will be responsible for evaluating, recommending and implementing industry best practice, strategic procurement systems, processes and procedures in a variety of sectors on major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high quality services, ensuring that the procurement deliverables meet the stakeholder’s requirements.
  • Producing appropriate procurement documentation and running an end-to-end procurement process, securing buy-in from all stakeholders, enabling the client to deliver the best prospect of success for the project to achieve its strategies are implemented operationally.
  • Establishing long-term strategic relationships with suppliers and ensure supplier performance and managing disputes.
  • Identifying procurement risks and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and sustainability requirements.
  • Procurement reporting and management information is provided in accordance with the corporate governance.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a strategic procurement environment.
  • Experience with standard forms of contract, including NEC suite, and Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the new Procurement Act.
  • Major infrastructure project experience.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Procurement / Quantity Surveying / Cost Management / Construction Law or similar / relevant discipline, or in some cases applicants with alternative background may be considered.
  • Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS / CIOB / CICES / CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable and will be supported if not already attained.
