Senior Procurement Lead

Contract Duration: 4 Months

Location: UK Remote

Our client, established in 1996, provides flexible and accessible finance to SMEs across the UK. Over the past 20+ years, they have grown into one of the UK's largest independent finance houses, delivering innovative finance solutions through teamwork and technology.

They are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist for a 4-month contract to support their growth plans. The role involves leading the selection and implementation of a new core business system, a critical project aimed at streamlining operations, enhancing efficiency, and supporting ambitious growth strategies.

The successful candidate will:

1. Provide expert guidance and support to the project team
2. Manage the end-to-end procurement process
3. Ensure compliance and risk minimization
4. Secure optimal value from vendors

Role responsibilities include:

• Developing procurement strategies and plans for system selection
• Leading RFI/RFP development and vendor evaluation
• Negotiating contracts in compliance with FCA standards
• Acting as procurement lead and main contact for internal stakeholders
• Managing risk and conducting due diligence
• Supporting project delivery alongside the Programme Manager

Key skills required:

• 7–10+ years in strategic procurement, especially enterprise software selection
• Deep understanding of contract law, procurement best practices, and vendor negotiations
• Experience in financial services, asset finance experience is a plus
• Strong stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and project delivery skills
• Ideally MCIPS-qualified
