New Today

Overview

At GWI we’re always looking for extraordinary people who thrive on making an extraordinary impact. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to play a key role in our product team in London. If that’s you, and making a difference gets you out of bed in the morning, keep reading. It could be the start of something, well, extraordinary.

As a Senior Product Designer for the Data Team you will focus on taking ownership of the end-to-end design process for our internal facing tools and products. Collaborating with the Staff Product Designer and Director of Product Design, this role defines and leads the design delivery, from research and ideation to prototyping, experimentation, and user testing. This is a high-impact role for a designer who is deeply user focused and knows how to deliver elegant solutions for complex systems at scale.

What will I be doing?

As our Senior Product Designer you’ll be working within an Agile, cross-functional squad. The Senior Product Designer partners with product, market research, and engineering teams to deliver seamless and impactful user journeys. Responsibilities include planning and evaluating design discovery, evolving the design system for scalability, and continuously iterating based on user feedback and performance data. The role demands creativity, bold problem-solving, and the ability to balance data driven decision making with innovative design approaches, ensuring user experiences align with both internal user needs and business objectives.

It’s also fun; shaking things up is what working for a growing company is all about. So you’ll need to be flexible, comfortable with continuous change, and working in a high-tempo environment as we grow.

What do I need to bring with me?

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. You don’t have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you’re willing to learn. Here’s what the team will be looking for:

  • Hands-on experience with designing and leading the user-centered delivery of Internal and Data heavy interfaces that drive user productivity through simple, scalable experiences for configuring and processing data across varied systems.
  • AI and LLM Fluency. You design for emerging workflows powered by LLMs, prompts, and automated insights.
  • Strong expertise in UX/UI design, with a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and responsive design.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset: You value the relationship between design, engineering, product, and data and are eager to work with cross-functional teams to drive results.
  • Experience conducting UX research and usability testing, interpreting both qualitative and quantitative feedback to inform and refine your designs.
  • Attitude oriented to big thinking, questioning why to find better solutions, and showing respect to everyone.

Interview steps

  • Preliminary phone call with the Talent Team (no video required)
  • First video interview with the hiring managers
  • Second (and final) video interview with the hiring panel, often including a presentation, followed by a values conversation with members of the wider GWI community

Note: there may be additional stages as part of the process.
