What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our New Verticals team. You’ll work across discovery, growth, merchandising & campaign work for Grocery and Shopping. We are a hybrid first business, and the expectation is to attend the office 3x weekly on average.

Responsibilities

• Drive excellence and champion consistency, a high degree of UI craft, and the inclusion of illustration and animation in our products. Schedule and facilitate regular planning and design critique sessions.
• Work closely with your team and other designers to define, design and iterate on product features across web and mobile platforms.
• Proactively communicate changes and updates, gather feedback to adjust the system, unblock designers, and share iterations with product teams to improve the experience.
• Shape product strategy and vision in collaboration with user research and product managers.
• Assist with technical implementation: work closely with engineers who build the experiences and contribute to the design system when needed.
• Contribute to team culture, events and the community of practice.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex product challenges and focus on solving the right problem.
• Excellent visual design sensibility and attention to detail.
• Strategic thinking and work that stands the test of time.
• Excellent communication of design decisions and the ability to bring others along on the journey.
• Experience collaborating with disciplines such as user research, data science, content and engineering.
• Mentoring others in their professional development as designers.
• Several years of experience as an individual contributor on a product design team, with experience leading collaborative sessions and mentoring peers.
• Ability to pivot between tactical, conceptual and communications work; multi-faceted role across the business when needed.
