Job Overview

We are expanding our Development team to support our regulatory solutions! The Senior Product Engineer is responsible for the development of the architecture design and high‑quality coding to support Instem's regulatory solutions in meeting customer and internal needs as defined by product managers/scientists. This includes new and updated user interfaces, database functions as well as web services/APIs. The role includes the development and management of systems to support delivery of such solutions to customers and supporting deployment of such products and associated customer support.

What to Expect

  • Enhancing the scalability and performance of existing database architecture.
  • Development of new and existing product features.
  • Building desktop, web applications and services components using best practices.
  • Designing and maintaining the product database.
  • Providing technical assistance to others in the team.
  • Assisting with clarifying and prototyping requirements into designs.
  • Assisting with problem solving and fault diagnosis on production systems.
  • Producing technical documentation when applicable.
  • Adherence to agreed programming standards and guidelines.
  • Monitoring technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities, and identifying sources of technology and data that could streamline and reduce development costs.
  • Adherence to the Company's Quality Management System to ensure that all work is handled securely, professionally and diligently.

Qualifications

  • Commercial experience in programming languages as required for the product development.
  • Experience in Angular, TypeScript, CSS and .NET/.NET Core.
  • Experience in database development and SQL (preferably Oracle or SQL Server).
  • Web development experience.
  • Good knowledge and practice of OO‑design principles.
  • Good knowledge of device communications, including client‑server operations.
  • Good understanding of the application area under development.
  • Knowledge of the Development Lifecycle.
  • Awareness of industry standards required for product technologies (e.g., web standards for web solutions).
