About the Opportunity

You will join the MoonPay Payments team as a Senior Product Manager, owning the core infrastructure that bridges traditional card payments with Web3 ecosystems. This role encompasses two critical pillars: Card Payment Acceptance and Card Payment Issuance. These are the foundational systems that enable billions of dollars in transactions, connecting mainstream users to the crypto economy.

As the bridge between Web2 financial infrastructure and Web3 innovation, you'll drive both the technical evolution and geographic expansion of MoonPay's payment capabilities. Every optimisation you ship will directly impact conversion rates across our global partner network, from intelligent routing that maximises approval rates to issuing platforms that enable revolutionary Web3 financial products. This is a senior technical product role requiring deep payments expertise and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions.

You'll own a product strategy for payment acceptance across 160+ countries while building next-generation card issuing capabilities that redefine how users interact with digital assets. Your decisions will directly influence MoonPay's global expansion, partner adoption, and our ability to scale Web3 infrastructure.

What you will do

• Define and execute a card payment acceptance strategy, building intelligent routing algorithms that maximise approval rates while expanding into new geographies through strategic acquirer partnerships
• Build self-serve routing tools that enable partners to customise payment flows, test strategies, and monitor performance in real-time with comprehensive analytics
• Use machine learning to boost card approval rates through predictive routing models and fraud step-up mechanisms, working closely with fraud and financial crime teams
• Lead card issuing platform development, driving adoption and conversion through intuitive APIs, flexible program management tools, and seamless partner onboarding experiences
• Bridge Web2 payment infrastructure with Web3 innovation, ensuring seamless integration between traditional banking systems and blockchain-based financial products
• Expand payment capabilities across multiple jurisdictions, navigating PCI DSS requirements, regional card regulations, and local compliance frameworks
• Instrument comprehensive analytics tracking card acceptance conversion, issuing adoption metrics, and geographic expansion performance through experimentation frameworks

What you will be working with/on

You will be responsible for leading our card payment infrastructure evolution, focusing on:

• Intelligent routing algorithms that optimise approval rates and costs across multiple processors and geographic markets
• Self-serve partner configuration tools enabling real-time routing customisation, performance monitoring, and A/B testing capabilities
• Machine learning-powered optimisation engines that continuously improve payment decisions based on transaction patterns and fraud signals
• Comprehensive card issuing platform supporting virtual and physical cards with flexible program management across multiple jurisdictions
• Geographic expansion systems supporting new acquirer integrations, local payment methods, and regional compliance requirements
• Analytics infrastructure tracking payment performance, partner adoption, and business metrics across acceptance and issuing products

About You

This position requires a deep understanding of both traditional card payment infrastructure and Web3 ecosystems, as well as the technical architecture that supports large-scale payment operations. You'll balance complex regulatory requirements with business objectives, always keeping partner adoption and user experience at the forefront of decision-making.

Ideal background and experience:

• 5+ years in product management, engineering and payment ops, with at least 2 years building card payment acceptance or issuing platforms in fintech or Web3
• Proven delivery of payment products that achieved measurable conversion gains, approval rate improvements, or successful geographic expansion
• Strong technical communication skills with hands-on familiarity with payment routing, ML optimisation, PCI DSS compliance, and real-time transaction processing
• Experience bridging traditional financial systems with emerging technologies and navigating complex stakeholder relationships
• Deep knowledge of card networks, processors, issuing banks, and regional payment regulations across multiple jurisdictions
• Data-driven approach to product development with expertise in payment analytics and experimentation frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder management skills that translate complex technical trade-offs into clear business value
