Overview

Senior Product Manager to join our direct to consumer marketplace team. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will define and deliver the product development of a continually evolving credit comparison experience across web and mobile app. You will partner with engineering, design, commercial and marketing teams to lead the creation of a product road map that balances long term strategic direction with shorter term delivery. You will own core verticals like loans and car finance and work on cross vertical initiatives when relevant. You will take ideas through to delivery and release, collaborating with product owners and engineering teams in the execution phase. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the biggest consumer credit comparison services in the UK and help guide millions of people in making good financial decisions and finding the right borrowing for their needs. This is a hybrid role with a requirement to come into our Nottingham office up to 2 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Input to the overall strategy working with senior leaders
  • Create a vertical level (1 year horizon) strategy for your areas of ownership working with cross functional teams
  • Define near and long-term road map, associated goals, objectives and key results for the verticals and initiatives you own
  • Understand and drive product performance against both commercial and non-commercial KPIs
  • Own daily performance, enhancement and issues in your verticals
  • Build an understanding of user and market insight and facilitate user research/testing as part of validating ideas and identifying user problems to solve
  • Work with the team to deliver prototypes and early experimentation, balancing core product feature development and capability improvement with new innovation
  • Understand how data can be used in the product to benefit customers and our lenders/partners
  • Consumer facing – experience of direct to consumer product management including quantitative assumption validation through A/B testing and feature experimentation
  • Strategy – create a vertical/team level vision and strategy aligned to the strategy for the team and stakeholders, with the ability to grow demand and engagement
  • Execution focus – hands-on execution and delivery, delivering and executing ideas and strategy
  • Technical knowledge – working with engineering and other teams to deliver and release products in an Agile development environment
  • Metrics – product performance metrics and customer needs understanding through data insights
  • Product discovery – synthesise data insights and customer research into clarity and direction for teams; participate in design sprints as part of product discovery and innovation
  • 2-sided marketplaces – balancing consumer and supplier/partner needs to achieve the best outcomes
  • Regulation – product development in a regulated business (financial services would be ideal)
