This role sits within the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) Reform team, responsible for providing digital and technological enhancements for the NSIP case management and examination processes. A key part of a multi-disciplinary team, this individual will work with Civil Servants and contracted digital delivery consultants to deliver key results from the NSIP Reform workstreams.

We are looking for a proactive, organized, and communicative Product Manager to manage this key portfolio of products. You will be confident in leading and collaborating as part of a team. The ability to engage with colleagues within and outside your teams to build trust and respect is essential. You should be willing to learn, bring experience, and be open to challenge.

Planning Inspectorate product managers influence beyond the Digital and Data unit, working with civil servants, and stakeholders from the public and private sectors to deliver value and customer-focused outcomes. While based within Digital and Data, you will engage with colleagues across the business, understanding user needs, designing solutions, and managing products and services for both internal and external customers. You will be responsible for managing product roadmaps across various workstreams, including initiatives in Artificial Intelligence, Geospatial Data, and more. Reporting to your Service Manager, you will drive the development and maintenance of this portfolio, providing value to service users.

New entrants to the Civil Service are expected to start at the minimum of the pay band. Existing Civil Servants' level transfers are subject to internal rules, with salary adjustments based on current salary or the pay range minimum, and promotions may lead to a salary increase up to 10% or to the new pay range minimum, whichever is higher.

This role is advertised at Senior Executive Officer Grade, with a salary range of £45,219 - £49,462.

Working hours:

The standard working week is 37 hours, with a flexible working hours policy available. Part-time work at 30 hours or more is supported under flexible arrangements.

This role is contractually based at Temple Quay House, Bristol, currently out of use due to refurbishment. We offer alternative office space near Bristol Temple Meads railway station. We support hybrid working and are flexible about in-person attendance, which can be discussed during interviews.
