Senior Product Manager - Made Tech

Location: Any UK Office Hub (Bristol / London / Manchester / Swansea) • Employment type: Permanent • Workplace: Hybrid • Compensation: £50,500 - £65,000 / year

Senior Product Managers enable public sector organisations to design services that improve society. You will lead on product within a client delivery team, working in cross-functional settings with Made Tech team members, stakeholders and partner agencies. You will inspire trust, guide and coach teams through the product process and continuously iterate and improve ways of working and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a self-initiated, collaborative and inclusive manner with support from senior team members
  • Collaborate with and influence the wider Made Tech team and clients to deliver high quality work aligned with customer vision and needs
  • Influence decisions impacting team success, including scoping work, prioritisation, deadlines, budgets and risk evaluation
  • Work across one assignment for a client at a time
  • Coach and support more junior Product team members to deliver high quality outputs and deliverables
  • Maintain broad technical knowledge of product management and develop knowledge of user-centred design and technical practice; help shape strategy, proposals, statements of work and roadmaps
  • Contribute to Made Tech’s community of practice for Product and collaborate with other disciplines
  • Assist in developing and growing the discipline to embed product-led and design thinking in our work

Skills People Must Have

  • Excellent understanding and articulation of the value of product and user-centred design
  • Experience delivering user-centred products and services from ideation through to maintenance
  • Ability to coach others to grow their skills and take on more responsibility for client-facing projects
  • Ability to educate and mentor team members on product and agile delivery as core disciplines
  • Experience working directly with customers and users to drive excellent outcomes
  • Experience in a design consultancy or senior product leadership role in the public sector, health or allied areas
  • Strong empathy and relationship-building skills

Desirable (not Essential) Skills

  • Experience working with sales teams to build client relationships and win new work
  • Open communication within teams, sharing progress frequently
  • Experience redesigning legacy services and products
  • Knowledge of product, design and research techniques
  • Experience in line management

SC Eligibility

An increasing number of our customers require SC clearance. Eligible candidates will be considered for roles requiring SC. Eligibility requires 5 years UK residency and 5 years employment history (or back to full-time education).
