Job Description Summary

We're looking for someone to join our dynamic team who is passionate about supporting our customers. As the Product Owner for the Colleague Assistance Tool, you’ll be the driving force defining the Journey for customers experiencing financial difficulty. The ideal candidate will have a pioneering approach and exceptional collaboration skills, Inspiring the team to deliver against our customer centric set of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Working within the Customer Journey & Treatments Lab you'll play a pivotal role in the next stage of our transformation journey. The Lab’s purpose is helping our customers before, during and after financial difficulty. We'll ensure we help them become more financially resilient and improve their overall financial wellbeing. We aim to achieve this purpose through improving colleague tools, allow them to help customers to better handle their day-to-day finances, and by simplifying the Customer Financial Assistance systems through an increased focus on Test Automation, DevOps, Cloud technologies and Rationalisation.

Through transforming the end-to-end customer journey for Customers in Financial Difficulty, you'll work with business partners to simplify and tailor journeys, creating a flawless multi-channel proposition and fantastic customer experience.

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time at an office hub mentioned above.

Responsibilities

  • Able explain the priorities on which the squad are working, both to business partners and other lab leads. Strong coordination with other PO’s is required ensuring dependencies are accounted for and appropriately prioritised in their backlogs

  • Continually review the required teams and capabilities within the squad to enable realisation of the vision

  • Be accountable for delivery against the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and / or revision of the OKRs based on new data and findings

  • Design the product as a service, ensuring that service offering and it’s solution capabilities address customer needs without creating new ones (avoiding failure demand)

  • Lead pivotal initiatives, technical releases, LRM commitments, customers, and collaborators with dedication.

  • Ensure adequate focus placed on burning down technical debt and prioritising defect fixing in production over new features

  • Ensure that the non-functional elements of products are considered (robustness, performance, scalability, usability, extensibility, ease to maintain and configure, ease of integration etc.)

  • Encourage team to test and learn by producing easy to use prototypes and MVPs and trialling them in a model office environment

Qualifications

  • Working in an Agile delivery environment at scale

  • Delivery of technology change across software and infrastructure

  • Working with technical and cross-functional teams

  • Financial planning and cost control – a track record of delivering within budget and using resources efficiently

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Strong dependency management and effective resolution of risks and issues
