About the Role
As a Senior Production Lead, you will lead the success of Reuters flagship live journalism event to deliver a market-leading product. You will manage production timelines and deliver against revenue, attendance, and marketing targets for the entire project. You will lead recruitment and relationship management of A-list speakers, in collaboration with editorial colleagues. You may also be asked to mentor other Conference Producers, providing guidance and coaching, oversee deadline management, monitor event performance, and plan strategically, financially, and operationally.
Responsibilities
- Lead the recruitment and relationship management of A-list speakers.
- Mentor other Conference Producers on deadline management, event performance, and strategic, financial and operational planning.
- Be the central driver for event execution, working with a cross-functional team to build the full event product, including agenda, speaker faculty, audience and other elements.
- Identify growth opportunities creatively while balancing commercial and editorial imperatives.
- Join Reuters Events, a fast‑growing team within Reuters based in London, if you want real responsibility, have experience producing editorial events, and are passionate about building communities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience leading major global news and media events, or events with a high level of editorial collaboration.
- Experience leading high‑profile leadership events in the Middle East / GCC region.
- A track record of commercial success, excellent project and time‑management skills, and the ability to work in changing circumstances.
- Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with senior‑level executives to manage speaker and sponsor relationships.
- Experience managing entire projects at scale and/or growing commercial events and products from scratch.
- Commercially driven first and foremost—understand the commercial drivers behind customer decisions.
- Ability to identify new and interesting business trends and develop great events that senior business people can’t afford to miss.
