Senior Project Controls - Planner - Defence

We are seeking a Senior Project Controls professional with a focus on planning to support Defence projects.

Overview

Turner & Townsend provides project management, cost engineering, risk management and commercial services for infrastructure projects. This role supports the Defence client portfolio on complex commissions and requires the capability to work with project teams to develop and maintain integrated project schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project requirements.
  • Develop the project schedules in conjunction with the project manager and project team.
  • Reduce uncertainty, define objectives and improve efficiency.
  • Interact with and assist project managers to schedule work and coordinate assignments.
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
  • Assist project managers to maintain timely and effective change management processes and procedures.
  • Assist project team to develop status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
  • Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.

Qualifications

  • Professional Project Controls experience, specializing in Planning & Scheduling across the project lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with Primavera (P6) and other planning/resourcing software.
  • Ability to coordinate with other teams and possess multi-disciplinary knowledge.

Essential

  • Degree in a relevant technical or management field or suitable equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Member of a relevant professional body (e.g., APM, PMI).
  • Strong leadership with the ability to mobilise, inspire and lead by example.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience.

Working Arrangements

You will be on client sites or Turner & Townsend offices approximately 60% of the time, with flexibility based on client and business needs.
