Senior Project Engineer

Senior Project Engineer position based in Aberdeen. This is a contract role for 6 to 12 months PAYE, with occasional offshore or UK site visits.

Operate at an advanced level to manage modifications, CAPEX projects and contracts, with credible EPC and front-end project development knowledge to support commercial and project management decisions.
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and Tier-1 contractors; collaborate with Tier-1 contractors to establish effective workflow interfaces across the organisation.
Contribute to the overall programme execution strategy and project framing, including preparation of project requirements and determination of the best means to satisfy them.
Plan, document and manage project scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and quality requirements; manage stakeholder engagement and influence.
Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, plan responses, and address issues affecting projects.
Ensure effective communication and reporting processes with all key contributors and parties involved in the project.
Prepare, gain approval for, refine and update business cases justifying project initiation or continuation in terms of benefits, costs and risks.
Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts; control costs against approved budgets.
Implement Management of Change to adjust project scope and update configuration documents as required.
Able and willing to travel and contribute to offshore operations.

Technical competence to safely and efficiently manage topsides operational interfaces.
ECITB Intermediate or equivalent in the oil and gas industry; experience with operators or Tier-1 contractors preferred.
Strong commercial awareness of supply chain management and understanding of project financing and cost control principles.
Good communication and influencing skills; ability to present complex issues clearly.
Education: Degree in Project or technical engineering or relevant discipline.
Work Experience: Direct experience in topside modifications and projects; direct experience with major projects preferred; experience with reimbursable and lump-sum contractors.
