Senior Project Manager - Balance of Plant — Bristol, UK. Location: Bristol (hybrid working arrangements). Employment basis: Permanent and full-time. Working pattern: office-based contract model with hybrid options; travel to the office when required, typically 3 days per week. Flexibility to be on site when needed is essential. The Opportunity

Join Sizewell C and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK. The Sizewell C Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk that has planning approval and government financing support. It will provide electricity to millions of homes and contribute to the UK’s Net Zero by 2050 goals. We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Conventional Islands – Balance of Plant (BOP) delivery programme.

Role and Responsibility

• Lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team and oversee end-to-end delivery of critical systems, structures, and components across multiple buildings and contracts within the BOP area.
• Take ownership of budgets, schedules, risk management, and quality assurance.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage complex interfaces smoothly.
• Apply technical expertise and leadership to uphold the highest standards of execution and compliance.

CI‑BOP Programme Structure

The Conventional Islands - Balance of Plant function oversees all activities associated with the delivery of engineering contracts up to the value of £100m and securing resources to meet business and technical requirements, ensuring delivery is safe, on time and within budget. The CI - BOP Programme is divided into three sub-programmes: CI, HSK (Heat Sink), and BOP.

About You / Qualifications & Skills

• Background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems, or civil engineering within large-scale industrial plant environments.
• Proven success in coordinating multi-disciplinary design and procurement activities with a track record of driving teams to meet key deadlines.
• Strong grasp of the complexities involved in major projects, particularly in managing interfaces between different scope areas.
• Experience in project management or project engineering, covering the full lifecycle from concept through to handover.
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively in both client-facing and contractor-facing scenarios; exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
