About the role
This position is a secondment fixed-term contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
As Senior Project Manager, you will manage a programme of strategic projects focused on improving data sourcing, analysis, and utilization to maximize value. You will drive change across the Advancement team by coordinating project prioritization and delivery, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
We consider applications for part-time, flexible, and job-share arrangements (minimum 0.8 FTE, equivalent to 4 days per week, with pro-rata salary).
This role offers hybrid working with at least 20% on-site presence.

About you
- Project start-up and initiation
- Develop understanding of fundraising and alumni engagement needs at UCL and how data and systems support these.
- Collaborate with the Advancement Management team to define, scope, and prioritize projects.
- Identify resource requirements for each project, including additional internal or external resources as needed.
- Set up and initiate projects, ensuring clear briefs, governance, stakeholder engagement, and communication plans.
- Project Delivery
- Manage ongoing project delivery, coordinate between project chairs and teams, and communicate timelines.
- Develop solutions, procure systems, and design processes collaboratively.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and manage procurement and contracts.
- Oversee project budgets and lead training for users and teams.
- Create guidance for new systems and processes.
- Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments as needed.
- Manage governance secretariat activities and general project management tasks.
- General
- Occasional work outside core hours may be required.
