This is more than just a job; it’s a mission. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of allocated projects and will be supported by the Team Leads, Engineering Delivery Manager and/or Chief Engineer in the respective projects. This role is responsible for managing a customer contract, ensuring project delivery, tracking key KPIs, as well as developing strategy, plans and business cases, in conjunction with the engineering team. The Senior Project Manager will manage projects across all phases of the life-cycle, including the business development aspects leading up to the award of the contract.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and acts as liaison between project management, planning, project team, and line management
  • Support the Programme/Account Manager to manage project relationships with partners, suppliers, and beneficiaries, in line with agreements, supplier code of conduct and best-practice stakeholder management and contract management
  • Support the Business Development function in pursuing and capturing new opportunities through to award of the associated contract
  • Launch, organise, plan, document and effectively manage the execution and conclusion of all allocated projects to deliver on commitments within baselined schedule and budget
  • Implement, maintain and manage all elements of project management including value, scope, quality, procurement, time, finance, human resources, risk, opportunities and communications
  • Ensure accurate financial tracking of the project, including cost accounting and forecasting to maintain a realistic estimate at complete
