Overview

Senior Project Manager - Renewable Energy for AFRY's Energy Division in the UK and Ireland. Lead the delivery of renewable energy projects from development through to construction, with a focus on Great Britain, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multi-contract and EPC projects through pre-construction and construction phases
  • Support clients and funders to reach Financial Close
  • Lead tendering and contract negotiations for major equipment and Balance of Plant packages
  • Prepare project delivery plans, budgets, and programmes
  • Administer construction contracts and manage variations and claims
  • Ensure safety standards and statutory roles are met
  • Contribute to business development and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

  • A degree in an Engineering, Project Management or Renewables focused subject
  • Be a Chartered Engineer (or working towards / close to Chartered or Incorporated status); or Project Management Professional status or working towards it
  • A minimum of 6 years\' experience as a Project Manager on renewable energy projects or a closely related infrastructure sector, with experience performing the PSDP role on projects
  • You have a proven track record on business development
  • You are a self-starter, ambitious and able to manage multiple tasks; excellent written and oral communication skills; willing to work in a variety of roles

Experience / Advantages

  • Recognised Project Management training
  • Business management experience
  • Experience providing consulting services in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
  • Commercial awareness and contract knowledge (e.g. FIDIC, NEC or similar)
  • Design experience from concept development to detailed engineering
  • Practical experience from construction, commissioning, and testing
