Senior Project Manager - Substations role at Balfour Beatty plc. Based in the North East, reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team on large, complex substation projects within the Power Transmission and Distribution business.

What you\'ll be doing

• Project delivery experience to ensure high quality and safety standards are met


• Experience in Power/Utilities within large infrastructure projects


• Strong communication skills to manage, mentor and empower your team


• Confidence and credibility to liaise with business leaders


• Commercial acumen to control costs and keep projects within budget


• Understanding of standard forms of contracts and performance evaluation techniques

Who we\'re looking for

• Experience of management and delivery of substation schemes up to 400 kV (preferable)


• Strong people management skills


• Proven track record in tendering and managing complex projects, including sub-contractors


• Commercial awareness with knowledge of budgetary and financial control
