We are recruiting: Senior Project Manager - Transport

Contract: 6 months initially (extension likely)
Location: Hybrid – Cambridge (50/50 split)
IR35: Outside IR35
Rate: £500 per day
Start: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of a tender package for a high-profile transport construction project. This is a pivotal role, providing leadership, strategic oversight, and expert guidance throughout the procurement and delivery phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and delivery of a comprehensive tender package for a major transport infrastructure scheme.

Collaborate closely with legal and commercial teams to ensure procurement processes are compliant, robust, and deliver best value.

Provide direction and leadership across assigned projects, reporting to senior leadership and presenting progress at board level.

Apply in-depth knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts to support procurement and project delivery.

Essential Experience & Skills:

Proven success in delivering major transport or infrastructure projects.

Significant public sector procurement experience, ideally within local government settings.

Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4).

Excellent stakeholder engagement and board-level presentation skills.

Ability to lead and inspire multi-disciplinary project teams.
