What we are recruiting for
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join our UK Regions Construction business to lead completion of remedial works to some of our projects completed across the Northwest.
The role will be based out of our regional office in Manchester City Centre.
Roles & responsibilities
- The Senior Project Manager will work with the delivery team to provide technical, commercial, quality and operational support.
- The role will be to deliver remedial works packages ensuring excellence is achieved in time, cost and quality.
- To develop and maintain an effective and productive relationship between the design team, project / site teams, commercial, client, supply chain partners and technical stakeholders.
- They will be instrumental in co-ordinating and leading the team, through the safe delivery of the packages to mitigate risk and drive opportunities to maximise value to the client and Bovis.
- The manager will be responsible for the construction delivery through to handover for the works packages, including the management of design changes and package contract administration.
Experience & background
- Innovative and uncompromising approach to safety to ensure the successful delivery of packages in accordance with Bovis’ requirements
- Experience managing multiple supply chain including sub-contractors and suppliers
- Ability to adopt and follow established project processes for contract administration, communications and document management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills both technical and non-technical to client, supply chain, peers and stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare short, medium and long term programmes to establish co-ordinated strategies to deliver works packages
- Experience working in a dispersed delivery team
- Willingness to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Experience managing consultants to ensure design and quality assurance deliverables are achieved and recorded
- Ability to manage package risks and drive opportunities to maximise value
- Experience in delivering handover of complex packages / projects Desirable
- Working knowledge of technical standards and regulations
